21.05.2013 Der 1939 in Chicago geborene US-amerikanische Musiker und Schriftsteller Ray Manzarek (Bild) ist am 20. Mai 2013 in Rosenheim (Deutschland) gestorben. Bekannt wurde er als Mitgründer und Keyboarder der legendären Rockgruppe The Doors.

Am Strand von Venice Beach in Kalifornien hatte Ray Manzarek im Sommer 1965 zusammen mit Jim Morrison die Band The Doors gegründet. Nun starb der Keyboarder der legendären Rockgruppe in einem Krankenhaus in Rosenheim.
