30.03.2022 Der am 4. August 1988 in Bolton (England) geborene englische Sänger Tom Parker (Bild) ist am 30. März 2022 nach einer Krebserkrankung gestorben. Er wurde als Mitglied der britischen Boyband The Wanted berühmt, die Hits wie "Glad You Came", "All Time Low", "Heart Vacancy" und "Lightning“ lancierte.

The Wanted singer Tom Parker dies from brain cancer aged 33

Parker was one of five endearingly high-energy members of the Wanted, who became one of the most popular British boybands in a generation. Their debut 2010 single, the anthemic All Time Low, reached No 1, as did Glad You Came in 2012.

A statement posted on the band's official Instagram account read: 'The whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who passed away peacefully at lunchtime today surrounded by his family and his band mates.

Last week, the star announced he had written a book Hope about his experiences and about living.He told fans: “My book is not about dying: It’s a book about living. It’s a book about finding hope in whatever situation you’re dealt, and living your best life no matter what.”

Parker was one of the singers of The Wanted, a band best known for their 2011 hit "Glad You Came." The group had recently announced a reunion tour and a greatest hits album. At a recent show in the UK, Parker appeared onstage with the band in a wheelchair.
