31.08.2012 Der 1968 geborene Musikproduzent und –manager Chris Lighty (Bild), Gründer der Firma Violator (Nas, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep, Missy Elliott, L.L. Cool J, 50 Cent etc.) ist gestern Donnerstag in New York City gestorben. Die New York Times nannte ihn "one of the most powerful figures in the hip-hop business."

"Chris Lighty, an influential manager of hip-hop stars like 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott and Diddy, was found dead on Thursday morning at his home in the Bronx, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 44."
