13.04.2023 Die am 11. Februar 1930 in Blackheath, Kent geborene britische Modedesignerin Barbara Mary Quant (Bild) ist am 13. April 2023 in Surrey gestorben. Sie galt als die Erfinderin des Minirocks. 1966 wurde ihr von Königin Elisabeth II. der Order of the British Empire der Stufe Officer verliehen. Mit der Neujahrsliste der Königin wurde sie 2015 zur Dame Commander (DBE) ernannt. Das Model Twiggy machte den Mini-Look Ende der 1960er-Jahre zum Markenzeichen einer Generation. (*)
