Er wurde durch seine Rolle als Chandler Bing in der Fernsehserie "Friends" (1994-2004) USA-weit und auch international berühmt.

Aus vorerst unbekannten Gründen ertrank Matthew Perry am Samstag in seinem eigenen Whirlpool; er war erst 54 Jahre alt. Ein Verbrechen wird ausgeschlossen; aber dass Drogen eine Rolle gespielt haben könnten, liegt bei einer solchen Biografie zumindest im Bereich des Möglichen.

Ein witziger Typ, schlagfertig und charmant, ein kaputtes Leben trotz Welterfolg und ein jähes, frühes Ende. So schnell kann man in diesem fiebrigen Beruf entflammen, brennen und verglühen.
