08.06.2023 Der am 26. Dezember 1949 in Hart (Michigan) geborene US-amerikanische Pianist, Komponist und Arrangeur George Winston (Bild) ist am 4. Juni 2023 in Williamsport (Pennsylvania) gestorben. Seine Werke wurden früher zur New-Age-Musik gezählt, heute eher zur Neo-Klassik. Winston verkaufte über 15 Millionen Alben in 24 Jahren. 1995 erhielt er einen Grammy für das Album "Forest". Winston arrangierte die Musik von Professor Longhair, The Doors, Frank Zappa, Vince Guaraldi, Randy Newman, Al Kooper, Philip Aaberg, Duke Ellington, Henry Butler, James Booker, Dr. John und vielen mehr für zukünftige Konzerte und Aufnahmen.
