underutilised singer in the Indian film industry.
Dey had it all - the voice, the range, the classical training and the
temperament - but most composers somehow preferred other singers like Mohammad
Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh and Talat Mehmood. Nevertheless, Manna Dey remained a legend.
