17.10.2020 Die am 10. August 1923 in Hollywood geborene US-amerikanische Schauspielerin und Sängerin Rhonda Fleming (Bild) ist am 14. Oktober 2020 in Santa Monica (Kalifornien) gestorben. Besonders oft wurde Fleming in Technicolor-Filmen zum Einsatz gebracht, da diese ihre roten Haare zur Geltung brachten. Gemeinsam mit der ebenfalls rothaarigen Maureen O'Hara trug sie daher den Spitznamen "Queen of Technicolor".*

Rhonda Fleming, Striking Star of the Silver Screen, Dies at 97
Rhonda Fleming, the red-haired, green-eyed beauty who lit up the screen in such films as Spellbound, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court and Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, has died. She was 97. Fleming, who also sparkled in Out of the Past (1947), the first of her many appearances in fabulous film noirs, died on Wednesday, her secretary Carla Sapon confirmed.
